![]() Question: I have added a photo into the page, but no longer want it there. How do I remove it? Answer: The image is able to be deleted by logging in, going to the page and clicking "Edit" then highlighting the text immediately around it and hitting the "Delete" button. Sometimes this position is not obvious, in which case (after clicking "Edit"), select any text in the page, and highlight all text by holding down "Ctrl" and hitting A". You can now copy and paste all text to the text Notepad (See "How to Copy and Paste" below), then hit the "Delete" button to remove. Answer: Please Contact Us to do this, specifying the name you would like to use, and the name you selected when creating your site. Question: “I have a “.com” domain name, how do I use it instead of the standard address?” Answer: When you register a domain name you have the option to redirect to an existing site. Find where to change this setting and point that domain name to your wedwebsite.com address. To get a new .com domain, it's $13.50 US at 000domains.com. Question: “I need to contact Wedwebsite.com about my password or a problem I have, what is the number?” Answer: Please visit the Contact Us page. Question: “Some guests have slow modem connections, what is the quick option?” Answer: When your personal page loads, an option is given to go to the less interactive version of your site if people have a slow connection and can't wait a minute. You can also direct your wedding guests to add “/quick/” to the "wedwebsite.com/yournames" web address if a customer finds the images slow to display due to a slow computer or internet connection. Here, the images are displayed less interactively, but much faster for slower computers and modems. Question: “When I’m using Firefox or Netscape I can’t upload images as an administrator, why?” Answer: Internet Explorer allows Active-X controls, and the control for uploading images is an “Active-X” control. Netscape and Firefox do not support this technology. A Java option will be available at a later stage for Firefox and Netscape users. Question: “What versions of Flash are supported?” Answer: The latest version of Flash is version 8. This version, and version 7 are supported by wedwebsite.com. If using version 6, a message will display providing a link on how to upgrade, and allowing the user to go to the "quick but less interactive" (non-Flash) option if the web address is to a specific wedding website. Upgrading Flash versions takes less than a minute, and may require a browser restart. The user is prompted to bookmark the site and come back to it if they wish. If the user is still on Flash 5, they may see a blank screen, but this is a very small proportion as Flash 5 is around 5 years old. Over 98% of web browsers have Flash as standard. * How to Copy and Paste: - To copy and paste text in edit mode, click "Edit", then position the cursor somewhere in the page by clicking text with the mouse. Hold down 'Ctrl' and hit 'A' (Ctrl+A), then use Ctrl+C to copy, open up notepad (Start > Programs > Accessories > Notepad), and click Ctrl+V to paste. Repeat this process to copy and paste into any other page. Note: Be careful as clicking "Delete" or any other character when text is highlighted will remove the text from the page.
